Commercial painters from Allentown, P.A
For this job they called us saying they needed commercial painters. Their walls get pretty dusty because of something in their ventilation system. They want something they can easily wipe down when the walls get too dirty, that’s when we said “say no more.”
We were pretty sure what product to use because we had a situation familiar to this one. But just in case we called the representative from Sherwin Williams to see what products they recommend for this situation. Turns out I was right!
Sherwin Williams’ Pro Industrial Pre-Catalyzed Waterbased Epoxy. It comes in two different sheens. It comes in Eg-Shel and Semi-Gloss. Pro Industrial Pre-Cat Waterbased Epoxy can be applied over most primers, interior metals, wood, masonry, plaster and drywall. It is used in big institutional and commercial high maintenance areas such as schools, hospitals, clinics. It is chemical resistant and corrosion resistant.
We buffed down the walls to get the dust off and applied it just like paint but a little heavier than paint. After the first coat it looked pretty good, but once we got the second coat you were able to see the true finish which was great. They went with semi-gloss, I was thinking maybe eggshell but hey we don’t choose the colors or sheens. If we were to choose or recommend colors, we would recommend black a lot, but that’s a whole different topic!
The job was a bit inconvenient but we made the best of it. We only had 3 hours a night to do the work, 3 hours a night! But like I said, we made the most of it. We all arrived 30 minutes early to make sure we have everything ready so as soon as it turned 8pm, we can start our work. We moved like robots, fast robots non stop. At the end of every 3 hour day we were very impress at how much we got done in 3 hours. It’s not the first time we have to work fast for only 3 hours a day, but hey that’s also a whole different topic that we’ll save for another day,
